NET NOVEAU    Three day workshop for Advanced Students
 
Create an amulet bag that resembles the reticular bags of the Ante-bellum era.  This work features Margo's unique netting techniques and is lined with silk. 
 
RHAPSODY IN FLOWERS   Two day workshop for Advanced Students
 
Seed beads bloom at last! Tiny buds and full blossoms festoon a twisted vine chain.....leaves and tendrils abound.  Student should have a good knowledge of tubular peyote.
 

 

TWIN THISTLE  Two day workshop for Advanced Students
 
Make a lariat style necklace with three different types of seed bead chains connected together with groups of larger decorative beads. The two ends are adorned with thistle tassels.  Student should have a good knowledge of tubular peyote.
 
FIELD FLOWERS   Three day workshop for Advanced Students
 
Learn to make poppies and daisies and three types of leaves.   Margo will teach a netted collar in class that she has named the Lithuanian Lace.  The printed lesson plans will also contain three additional types of netting designs.  Student should have a good knowledge of tubular peyote and herringbone stitches.  Some experience with netting is also useful
HERRINGBONE GARDEN BRACELET  One day workshop for Intermediate to Advanced Students
 
This bracelet is a sampler of herringbone stitches.  The bracelet is started on a row of ladder stitches but will retain the traditional side turn around method.   The garden is planted with delicate tubular herringbone flowers and flat herringbone leaves. Additional tendril treatments will be presented. Knowledge of herringbone stitch is helpful but not required.  The flowers and leaves are made with size 15` seed beads.  If the student has not worked with these small beauties, it will be a good introduction.
 
DANDELION CORSAGE     Two day workshop for Advanced Students.
 
These wonderful  corsages can be Dandelions, Chrysanthemums, Bachelor Buttons or Marigolds depending on the choice of colors.  A Cattail version is also presented.  Learn to make a corsage foundation made of wire, fiber and hand dyed bias cut silk ribbon.  Knowledge of circular flat peyote is helpful

 

NECKLACE DUET  Two day workshop for "Higher" Intermediate to Advanced Students.
 
In the Clover Supplement,  intricate  clover blossoms dance merrily on an expended version of the thin netting.
Encircle your neck with these whimsically delicate inventions.    Knowledge of tubular herringbone and netting techniques is helpful.

The Botanical Invention features eleven blossoms with their long filaments suspended from a thin netted necklace.

RING TRILOGY  One day workshop for "Higher" Intermediate to Advanced Students
 
Create corsages for you fingers.  Make a Sunflower and learn two other petal arrangements  Embellish the rings with a variety of tendrils, leaves and vines.  Knowledge of tubular and circular flat peyote stitch is helpful.

 

FUGI MUM BRACELET  Two day workshop for "Higher" Intermediate to Advanced Students
 
A combination of 11` and 8` seed beads create an unique type of right angle weave bracelet.  Decorate your wrist with festive Fugi Mums and Leaves.  Knowledge of right angle weave is helpful

 

FIELD FOLIAGE
Field Foliage is a necklace featuring seven folded peyote points made from 8` and 11` seed beads. The sides of the necklace are a type of stitch Margo has named "Progressive Peyote Petal Points".
 
Various types of foliage will be introduced including the "Jointed Branch Bugle Foliage" and the "Very Berry Branched Foliage".
 
The student may adapt the techniques to make a necklace that suites her mood and taste  - an elegant understatement or a lavish display of Field Foliage.
 
This is an intermediate to advanced class.  Student must be familiar with flat odd count peyote stitch.
ALPINE FORGET- ME- NOT

This is a two day workshop for intermediate to advanced students

Margo designed this special project for the 2005 Creative Castle.  The Alpine Forget-Me-Not is the Alaskan State Flower.  Learn to make these little beauties using size 15` seed beads.

Necklace and bracelets are made from size 11` seed beads using a diagonal netting technique.

DRAGONFLIES & FERNS  a necklace and bracelet.  

Two Day Workshop for Advanced Students 

Delicate dragonflies dance among feathery ferns all on a lacey right angle weave background.  The right angle weave is make of size11` and 8` seed beads.  Size 15` seed beads are used to make the dragonflies and ferns.  

The premier class was taught at the BeadWork Retreat in the Sonoma Wine Country 2005.

ULTRAFLOWERS  a necklace and bracelet
 
Two Day Workshop for Intermediate to Advanced Students.
 
Make a necklace and/or a bracelet with right angle weave using three sizes of seed beads.  The 8`, 11` and 15` seed beads create an interesting background for flowers and leaves made of Ultra Suede and beads.  Knowledge of right angle weave in helpful.
VINEYARD BRACELET
 
One Day Workshop for Intermediate to Advanced Students.
 
A center basket is filled with bunches of grapes and more grapes, leaves and tendrils reach out from this center to encircle your wrist.  Student should be familiar with circular peyote. 
 
Norah’s Whimsical Reticule

This delicate netted amulet is made from size 11` and 15` seed beads. It features a Rivoli or a Dentelle in the center with petals that radiate outward. A leafy dangle and a graceful strap complete this exquisite piece. This is a class for ‘higher” intermediate to advanced students.

My Several Pearls

This class explores techniques combining peyote and herringbone stitches to make diamond shapes that are connected and lavishly embellished with pearls and tendrils.  A side chain is presented that can also be used for the foundation of a sister necklace.  This sister necklace named The Alternative Necklace can assume different looks depending upon the student’s preference.  Bracelets can also be made using the presented techniques.  This is a two day class for those students with an intermediate to advanced skill level.

Fantastic Flowers & Foliage Description 

Two day class for intermediate to advanced students.   Knowledge of netting, peyote and herringbone is required. 

Flowers and foliage adorn a netted necklace.  Three different types of netted necklaces will be offered all made from size 8` and 11` seed beads.  The flowers are nesting pentafoils using size 11` and 15` seed beads and featuring a 10mm pearl center.  Two types of foliage are presented - a heart shaped leaf and a linear curved leaf.  Fantastic Flowers and Foliage is a very luscious necklace that employs cleaver use of traditional stitches.

 

The Cinquefoils & Ferns necklace introduces five petaled flowers and feathery ferns that seem to sprout from between the stones of a garden path.  The student may choose to work with either size 11` or 15` seed beads for the flowers and ferns.  4mm cubes represent the garden path.  This is an intermediate to advanced class.  Knowledge of Peyote and Herringbone techniques is helpful
Margo-Rita Ville is a floral collar necklace faturing double netted flowers using size 11` and 15` seed beads accented with Margaritas.  The necklace is made from 8` seed beads using free form herringbone techniques.  For those students who are not comfortable with free form methods, this is free form with a plan for those who need it!  This is an intermediate to advanced class. Knowledge of Herringbone and Netting techniques is helpful.
 
Gum Tree description-
 
This necklace & bracelet set was inspired by the Eucalyptus trees (Gum Trees) in Australia.  The necklace has one "Puff" flower in the center with five leaf chains on each side.  The Bracelet has one half of the flower on each end to fasten together to make a complete flower. Both are made for size 8`, 11` and 15` seed beads.  This is an intermediate class. Knowledge of Peyote & Herringbone techniques is helpful.
 
Garden Party Description - 
 
A Herringbone technique that employs 11` & 3mm cubes form each half of the necklace or bracelet.  Flowers grow from the foundations that connect each half of the Necklace or Bracelet.  This is an intermediate class.  Knowledge of Herringbone techniques if helpful.
